Shelly Barnard - CMT
-
"When the body is brought into a state
of relaxation, all systems work at a more optimal level,
immunity is boosted, and healing capacity is heightened. For
the past nine years, I've drawn from Swedish massage, gentle myofascial release, and other bodywork modalities to promote
this state of balance and harmony in my clients."
Shelly graduated from Kenyon College in 1991 with a degree
in English literature and minors in both Psychology and
Vocal Music. She received her certification in massage
therapy from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 1998,
then earned additional certification in pre-natal, labor and
post-partum massage from Carole Osborne-Sheets in 2002.
Shelly blends deep Swedish massage techniques with gentle
myofacial release to promote "health, heart and harmony" in
the body. She has a part-time private practice in
Boulder and also works for Longmont United Hospital, teaches
"Massage for Expectant Mother" community classes and is part

Laura
Kupperman -
Certified Yoga Therapist,
Certified Yoga Instructor - Laura has been practicing
yoga since 1995 and teaching since 2002. She is trained to
work with adults and children, and specializes in working
with people who are ill, injured, or recovering from
surgery. During Laura's own experience with cancer she
relied on yoga to help her heal and recover, and she was
thus inspired to begin the Yoga for Survivors program in
2005. Laura is honored to share the healing path of yoga
with her fellow survivors! Laura teaches with plenty of
patience, compassion, and individualized attention. For
more information about Yoga for Survivors classes visit
www.yogaforsurvivors.info. Laura has a B.A. from
Wellesley College and an M.A. from Stanford University.
When Laura took her first yoga class in 1995 she was
immediately sold on the physical benefits of yoga - the
feelings of strength, vitality, flexibility, and well-being,
inspired her to continue practicing regularly. Over time,
Laura began to appreciate the mental and emotional benefits
of yoga as well, as she become less "Type A" and more "Type
Be" Laura's joy for teaching comes from sharing the light of
yoga with her students, and watching them transform on all
levels. No yoga, no
peace. Know yoga, know peace. |

Pam Vagnieres, MS, CSCS, CNT -
"I am
passionate about nutrition as an exciting new science.
Research on food phytochemicals is showing how incredibly
powerful food is as preventative medicine! I teach
people about the "nutrigenomics" of food; that is, how
certain foods can suppress inflammation, silence genes that
fuel cancer, and turn on genes that protect against heart
disease. I believe we should "love" our food, not just
eat it because we think it's healthy.
Pam
has a Master of Science degree in Sports Medicine from
Chapman University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance
from the University of Colorado. She is a Certified
Nutrition Therapist and a Certified Strength and
Conditioning Specialist. |
